GLA:D training courses for physiotherapists are run 2-3 times a year in various locations around Ireland.

Course Format

Courses are delivered in a hybrid format with all theoretical content available online and practical components delivered face to face with GLA:D tutors over one day.

Participants will have at least 2 weeks to complete 7-8 hours of online materials before the practical day.

**Completion of these components is a requirement to attend the practical day. 

Course Fee: €330 per participant. 

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the latest research on the pathophysiology of osteoarthritis.

  • Understand the latest knowledge and evidence on osteoarthritis management strategies.

  • How neuromuscular exercises can be used in the context of osteoarthritic changes.

  • How to deliver the education components to patients with osteoarthritis including up to date presentation slides and handouts / resources to give your patients.

  • Processes for registering programme participants in the GLA:D® Ireland database.

  • Practical information on how to implement the programme at a clinic, in a hospital, or in another appropriate setting.
